RTI is undertaking an initial business development mission to New Zealand from February 20 – 24 2012. RTI seeks to develop collaborative research partnerships, joint IP development opportunities, and commercial partnerships. In the long term, RTI is looking to establish a satellite campus or joint venture in our region. To assist RTI meet as many contacts as possible while they are in NZ, NZBIO has organised a breakfast presentation on the morning Monday 20th February to allow you the opportunity to meet and network with the RTI delegation.

In 2005, Professor Dr Thomas Henle’s research group discovered that methylglyoxal was responsible for the stable anti-bacterial activity in manuka honey. More recently, the group has identifi ed further unique features with glycation compounds in manuka honey and other foods.
