NZBio is pleased to announce the 2007 Secondary School Students’ Essay Competition.
The essay topic, “Stem Cells: Panacea or Problem? Explain the science and explore the issues” is designed to get students thinking about the potential this field of science holds.
Cash rewards of $500 for first prize and $300 and $150 for second and third place-getters have been generously provided by the Ministry for Research Science & Technology.
The competition deadline is 21 September 2007.
Entries can be posted to NZBio at PO Box 5580 Wellington or emailed to enquiries@nzbio.org.nz
The judges are looking forward to receiving stimulating and well considered work.

Terms & Conditions
- The competition is open to all New Zealand secondary school students
- Essays will be marked by a panel. The judges’ decision is final
- Winning essays may be used by NZBio with author’s permission
- Quotes may be used from any of the essays, with the writers’ permission
- Winning entrant’s names will be published by NZBio
